It was a beautiful night on Towers. I ran up with Brian S. who was taking it easy in preparation for his first marathon on Saturday down in Salida. I didn't put the headlamp on until I hit the trees past Mill Creek. There was a few icy spots, but the trail was in the best shape it has been in all year. I took it pretty easy, but it was still really hard and I ran a slow (but my fastest of time of the year) 42:48.
In two weeks, it will be light all the way up and down and I am hoping the next several days of warmth and sun will leave the trails ice-less and dry.
